Continuing our efforts to create short films as a powerful tool to initiate conversation around the most complex topics related to mental health and addictions, we are proud to bring one more short film in May 2023. The film is partly funded by the grant received from the Ontario Trillium Foundation to build a resilient community and sustainable organization. The film will be screened on May 24, 2023, at Courtney Park Cineplex, Mississauga, Ontario. A Q&A session with our mental health expert will follow the screening of the film “The Healing Journey.”
MEHAR produced the first part of “The Healing Journey” in 2021 and successfully provided a unique learning platform to understand the connection between substance use and mental health. This new short film intends to continue the conversation around addictions, drug-induced psychosis and the importance of treatment and support in recovery from chronic substance use.
Our passionate and diverse team of artists, technical crew and mental health experts have worked tirelessly in making this film.
Our humble request to support this project by attending, volunteering and offering donations/sponsorships to give the maximum
benefits to our community.
