Multi-Gen Festival

16th September, 2022

On September 16th, MEHAR was pleased to host the Mutli-Gen Festival. The event was an astounding success, bringing together 200 attendees from all walks of life, including seniors from the South Asian community, children, and youth.

The event could not have happened without the help of volunteers and organising members of all ages coming together and generously giving their time to ensure the event ran smoothly, engagingly, and inclusively. Their hard work and dedication to the cause helped ensure the event was enjoyable for everyone who attended, providing a positive and welcoming experience for every attendee.

People of all generations, genders, and backgrounds came together to dance, enjoy delicious food, and enjoy performances from a variety of talented artists and performers. Music from a number of different genres and styles was played, performed, and sung, with attendees immersing themselves in culture and dancing till the very last beat of the drum.

The event lived up to its name and accomplished its mission: To bring people of all generations and genders together and promote well-being through art, especially music and dance. By the end, a sense of community and unity had been built and strengthened. MEHAR looks forward to hosting more intergenerational, unifying, and successful events in the future.
