Short Film
"I am still Me; The Healing Journey"

November 2021

I Am Still Me; The Healing Journey - A short film on youth and mental health and addiction, created by MEHAR with the matching grant from Advance Brampton Fund.

MEHAR created our first short film that reflected on the issue of a lack of awareness and stigma around mental health and addictions among the youth from immigrant communities. This short, 24 minute film engaged young artists from the diverse population of the region of Peel, using the incredibly effective tool of media to understand mental health, addiction and stigma around seeking help.

The premiere of this film was attended by over 95 members in person, who appreciated the film and the information session by mental health experts .

We are very happy to organize a private screening of this film for any organization or community for a very reasonable fee to cover our cost.
