With a distinctive blend of mental health expertise and artistic talents, she spearheads the creation, development, and implementation of unique projects aimed at promoting wellness and awareness. As a registered Social Worker in Canada with numerous certifications and extensive training in direct mental health services, Rekha boasts over two decades of professional experience in community mental health. She authored and produced MEHAR's inaugural theatrical performance, "I Am Still Me," and initiated "Poetic Reflections" to advance mental health awareness through the medium of poetry. Independently managing project initiatives, grant applications, community partnerships, fundraising efforts, and overseeing administrative responsibilities, Rekha is instrumental in advancing MEHAR's mission and impact.

Dr. Sameera Ghaznavi, MEHAR's President and head of the advisory board, is an esteemed family physician based in Oakville, Ontario. A graduate of the University of Alberta's medical school in Edmonton, she completed her Family Medicine residency at McMaster University, Canada's premier medical institution. With three decades of experience, Dr. Ghaznavi practices comprehensive family medicine, specializing in mental health across all age groups, from teenagers to seniors. Additionally, her expertise extends to Age Management, emphasizing preventative and natural approaches to address both mental and physical health challenges.

Ravi Iyer assumed the role of Treasurer on the MEHAR Board in December 2023, bringing with him a sterling reputation within the community and extensive expertise as a Registered Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC). With a robust background in managing diverse immigration applications and navigating failed sponsorship appeals, Ravi owns and operates retirement homes in Ontario, showcasing his commitment to community well-being. Armed with a master's degree in Commerce, International Banking, and Financial Management, he possesses the wisdom and insight required to fulfill the responsibilities of the Secretary effectively. Additionally, Ravi serves as a Commissioner of Oaths in Ontario, further contributing to his comprehensive skill set.

Darshak Vaishnav, an Employment Specialist with the municipal government, brings over two decades of expertise in employment services, job development, and human resources. His extensive background includes dedicated work with new immigrants, refugees, and individuals with diverse needs. Beyond his professional achievements, Darshak's valuable musical and artistic talents serve as an enriching asset to MEHAR, contributing to the organization's multifaceted approach in promoting mental and emotional health awareness.

Leena Deodhare, a dedicated member since MEHAR's inception, is deeply immersed in the realms of dance and drama. With a rich history of contributions to numerous nonprofits and charitable organizations in North America and India, Leena's expertise extends to organizing theater, performing arts, and dance events. Her wealth of experience enhances MEHAR's creative endeavors, where she actively directs theater projects and lends her acting prowess to plays, embodying a pivotal role in the organization's artistic pursuits.

Matthew Stratton, currently serving as a Regional Distribution Manager in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry, brings a wealth of experience in operations and sales across his professional journey. Beyond his corporate role, Matthew is deeply immersed in the arts, showcasing his passion through his photography and videography business. Holding an impressive academic background, he earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland, underscoring his commitment to both business acumen and creative pursuits.

Dr. Kashif Iqbal, a distinguished neuro-corporate strategist and mental health architect, currently leads a healthcare enterprise with a focus on holistic well-being. Armed with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) and certification as a Bowen Practitioner, Dr. Iqbal combines medical expertise with alternative therapeutic approaches. Ajay Puri, armed with professional qualifications in Finance and Accounting, serves as an invaluable operational board member, lending his expertise to MEHAR's projects, events, and hosting endeavors. Sunita Kaushik, a seasoned professional with expertise in media relations, promotion, and event management, plays a pivotal role at MEHAR. Bhavesh Kothari has joined the board to contribute to the initiative of utilizing art for mental health awareness. He co-founded a renowned entertainment company and has organized numerous entertainment shows in Canada. He is an enthusiastic committee member of a few other community organizations. He performs an active role in promoting MEHAR’s projects and helping out at events. 

Fadi Dalloul is a dedicated actor and young filmmaker with a deep-rooted passion for using the arts to convey intricate human stories and emotions. With a rich expertise in acting and direction, Fadi crafts narratives that deeply resonate with audiences, highlighting the multifaceted nature of mental well-being. His life experiences, passion for acting and skills in art make him an invaluable contributor to the mission of MEHAR.
